The Basics

• Our markets emphasize local businesses, with the highest priority given to producer-only vendors. We do allow some co-operative farms to participate, within our guidelines.

• There is a small fee to be paid each market day.

• A Town of Moncks Corner Business License is required to participate in any market held within town limits.

• Retail sales taxes are the responsibility of the individual vendor.

• Processed goods must be a prepared in a DHEC or SCDA approved kitchen.

• We strongly encourage prepared food vendors — caterers, restaurants, and personal chefs — to set up at the market to promote their food-based business.

• Fees: Full Season: $200; Monthly $35; Single Market Day $10 (available to Promotional/non-sales, civic, & nonprofits only)

• Regardless of scale, farms are more likely to survive if they have a local market in their sales portfolio. Farmers typically only make 15% of the food dollar in regular grocery stores – at farmers market, they make 100% of the food dollar.
