Firefighter II - Moncks Corner - South Carolina

Performs general firefighting work in the prevention, control, and suppression of structural and non-structural fires, and skilled Emergency Medical Technician lifesaving and technical emergency services work in the field. Responds to non-emergency and emergency incidents; renders emergency medical assistance and first aid services while on-scene; performs search and rescue for trapped or injured persons; operates fire rescue equipment; and prepares reports regarding emergency incidents as assigned. Participates in cleaning and maintaining facilities, grounds, equipment, and apparatus; ensures that appropriate conditions are maintained at assigned facility; and ensures that all equipment and apparatus is in a constant state of readiness for emergency calls.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid S.C. driver’s license is required.
• Must have an IFSAC NFPA Firefighter 2 or Pro Board certification.
• Must have successfully completed required courses and certification in National Incident Management Systems and Incident Command Systems.
• Must have successfully completed required courses and possess NREMT certification and qualify for SC DHEC licensure.

Job Grade N-108, Minimum Salary: $44,171.35
